Nutan Bidyut (Bangladesh) Limited (NBBL), incorporated on 27 March 2016, is a private limited company dedicated to generating and supplying electricity in Bangladesh. Currently NBBL owns and operates a 220 MW (Natural Gas) / 212 MW (High-Speed Diesel) dual-fuel Combined Cycle Power Plant located at South Kutuba, Borhanuddin, Bhola District. The plant commenced commercial operations on 9 June 2021 and is connected to the national grid via BPDB’s 230 kV switchyard.

NBBL operates under a Build, Own & Operate (BOO) model with a 22-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB). The project is fully financed by overseas entities. The plant uses domestic natural gas from Shabazpur Gas Field and has a backup supply of High-Speed Diesel from Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation.
